What are your pieces made of?
Every piece is made from air dried clay. This is not kiln fired clay nor is it polymer clay which is synthetic and has no clay minerals. Air dried clay contains natural minerals and paper fibers making it extra durable and resistant to breaking. All it needs is air to cure and set.
How do I care for my piece?
These pieces are not treated with glaze or sealer as these alter the look and color of the final piece. I want them to be in their most natural, raw form. With that said, they must be handled with care. Most importantly, do not let your piece come in contact with water. If fully saturated or sitting in water, the clay form will be compromised. They are not recommended to be hung outdoors as weather and the elements could affect the integrity.
What does it mean that your pieces are made to order?
As opposed to having a lot of inventory made and sitting on shelves, I create the piece as the order comes in. You order - I make especially for you!
When will my item ship?
Because every piece is made to order, my processing time (from transaction date to ship date) is 3-5 business days. This includes creation, dry time, packaging, and carrier drop off.
Shipping is handled by the carrier, and while shipping estimates are generated by the carrier upon checkout and usually very accurate, they cannot be guaranteed. Therefore I have no control over how quickly your package gets to you, especially during a high volume season. Once your items have shipped, extra patience is greatly appreciated during a busy season as our carriers are likely experiencing high volume!
I think my package is lost! What do I do?
Once your package is dropped off by me, it is in the hands of the United States Postal Service. If a package is lost a file must be claimed through the carrier and reimbursement may only be made through them. USPS Priority and Ground Advantage shipping classes offer up to $100 insurance. Customer must file lost claim, however I am happy to guide you through the process if you have any questions. I am not responsible for lost packages, Return To Sender situations, wrong address entered by customer upon checkout, etc.
Below are some tracking issue scenarios and tips on how to proceed:
If you received notification of your order being shipped but you don't see an update in its tracking status, don't fret! Give it 24 hours. It is very common for USPS tracking to take up to 24 hours to update.
If you are seeing an odd tracking update, reach out to me and I may be able to explain. I've shipped out 1000s of packages and have learned a bit about a lot of the tracking statuses and what they could mean.
If there is a considerable delay like your package has been stuck in the same location for several days, it is possible there is just a delay in transit so give it another day or two, especially during the holiday season! If the delay is significant, contact USPS and see if they can give you an update or additional info.
If tracking says delivered but you didn't receive it, first check with your neighbors that it wasn't mistakenly delivered to them. Also check all around your home, front door, parcel locker if applicable, garage, driveway, apartment office, etc. If no luck, please contact your local USPS office and provide them with your tracking number. At this point they may encourage you to file a claim.

What is your Return Policy?
I'm sorry it didn't work out! If for some reason you are not happy with your purchase, please reach out via the Contact page and we can discuss! I would love to make it right, but if you prefer to return your item in the end, we can also proceed that way.
Contact must be made within seven (7) days of receiving your order, and the return must be postmarked within fourteen (14) days of receiving your order. If this timeline is not followed a return cannot be processed.
Return shipping postage is covered by the customer.
